Sometimes you just want to see who’s first and you want a big “number 1” next to their name 🥇. This wasn’t possible on Keepthescore.co – until today. There are now 2 layouts available for leaderboards: we’re calling the old existing one the compact layout and the new one the ranking layout. The ranking layout satisfies a long-standing user wish: show ranks (standings, positions) on a leaderboard.
By our definition a leaderboard is where you can see the total points per player but don’t see any kind of rounds history. If you want to show a history then you should create a scoreboard: this allows you to add points as rounds and display them on the scoreboard.
The simplest leaderboard in the world 🙏
There are a large number of websites offering leaderboards, but Keepthescore.co is the simplest one, guaranteed. You can create a leaderboard in less that 10 seconds, all without ever creating an account. If you don’t believe us, then give it a whirl.
Here are the steps for creating a leaderboard:
- Go to this page
- Enter a title and enter number of people on your leaderboard. You can ignore the other settings: they can all be changed later.
- Click Next
- Enter the names of each person
- Click Next
- Your leaderboard has been created 🥳. Remember to save the link (e.g. bookmark it) because you’ll need it to administer the points later.
- If you want to share your leaderboard, there’s a special read-only link for that.
Introducing colours 🎨
Another feature we recently introduced is the ability to set custom colours for your leaderboard (and scoreboard). This was another long-standing user wish. There are plans to introduce more sophisticated customization options (including image and logo uploads) but this is the first step.
So now you can also have your leaderboards in dark mode:
Please do leave feedback about what you think about the new layout and how Keepthescore can be improved even more.
